Comment s'y rendre ?

In the exhibition NOISY IMAGES, Belgian artist Antje Van Wichelen explores the mechanisms of colonial photography. She researched the mechanisms of colonial photography in the Historical Photo Archive at the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum in Cologne. Her work with this material has resulted in installations that overcome the classifying gaze: Van Wichelen transforms the photographic document into a moving image, places the images in direct relation to the viewer, and invites them to conduct their own research. It thus enables a completely new view of the Images.
