Artist Matt Enger's series of 9" x 9" screen prints on paper will be exhibited September 25 with an opening reception on Thursday, September 25, from 7-9pm.
In 1989 Matt moved to New York where he established himself as a downtown artist. Matt co-founded Exploding Sky Studio in 1990 with his twin brother Mark in the Lower East Side. The Enger Brothers began creating fine art paintings, installations, t-shirts, jackets and art objects. Exploding Sky became known in New York, Hollywood, Japan and Europe for their iconic imagery and their energetic rock and roll style. Exploding Sky began collaborating through silk screen printing with major artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Kiki Smith, Donald Baechler, Keith Haring and more, as well as fashion designers such as Catherine Malandrino. In 2010, the Engers' art was featured in Vogue Italia.
